This puts unnecessary strain on the horizontal filter media positioned right above the hopper, requiring more frequent cleaning cycles, maintenance and repair. Vertical filter media, however, avoids this issue as gravity helps the dust fall directly into the hopper without passing by additional cartridges or bags.
